EMERGENCY services were called to two crashes in Stowmarket on Wednesday.

Just before 11am, a rescue tender from Stowmarket and fire engines from Needham Market and Elmswell were called to a collision between a tractor and a lorry in Newton Road. No-one was hurt.

At around 11.40am, the rescue tender was called to a two-car collision in Gipping Way. Its crew provided first aid and an ambulance took a woman in her 70s to West Suffolk Hospital.
