Two triathletes from New Zealand inspired pupils at Combs Middle School, in Stowmarket, to follow in their footsteps and keep fit.

Lynn Hodgkinson and Katrina Whaanga, who represented their country at the World Triathlon Championships in London, spoke to Years 7 and 8 as they work towards their fitness challenge in PE lessons.

Amy Wall, head of PE, who worked with the pair at a school, in Hamilton, New Zealand, last year, said: “They looked at setting yourself a goal when you’re training and how you’re going to achieve it. It went really well and some of the children said they were going to work really hard.”
