A man is in a stable condition in hospital after suffering serious injuries in a collision on the A1088 at Elmswell.

Police closed the road following the collision which occurred at approximately 6.45pm on Saturday, May 16 and involved a Citroen car and a Honda motorcycle.

The male motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. He is currently in a stable condition.

A rapid response vehicle from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) was mobilised to the scene as well as the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Police are appealing for witnesses to this collision. Anyone with information should ring 101.
