The A14 has reopened following a second multi-vehicle crash which blocked the carriageway.
Four vehicles were involved in a collision at Bury Eastern Interchange on the eastbound carriageway.
The road was closed to allow for medical attention to casualties, although nobody was thought to be seriously hurt.
The crash was the result of queues caused by a seven vehicle crash earlier this evening, which took place at 5.30pm.
The eastbound carriageway was shut at Bury Eastern Interchange all the way to Woolpit.
An ambulance crew and ambulance officer attended to a report of three patients.
All were described as walking wounded.
One patient with neck pain was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.
Traffic was queuing back to the Bury St Edmunds Westley Interchange, Newmarket Road.
