A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured following a collision with a car yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Navigation Approach, in Stowmarket, at about 4.10pm yesterday afternoon, following reports that a blue VW Golf had been in collision with a pedestrian.
A rapid response car and ambulance attended the scene along with Suffolk Police and the East Anglian Air Ambulance was scrambled.
The road was closed and diversions were put in place.
Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: “The boy was found in a serious condition on our arrival. Our paramedics worked closely with the critical care team from the air ambulance to treat, stabilise and immobilise the boy at the roadside before he was taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridgeshire.”
