A second accident on the A11 at Elveden has closed the road just half an hour after it reopened following another crash.
Emergency services are currently on scene at the incident involving three vehicles on the northbound carriageway of the A11.
A spokeswoman from the East of England Ambulance Service said that paramedics are treating an unconscious man, aged approximately 50, for head injuries and a woman with chest injuries.
Suffolk Police said that the driver of one vehicle has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury. The northbound carriageway of the A11 is currently closed.
A member of public alerted the police just after 3pm - only half an hour after the road was reopened following an earlier accident involving four vehicles.
Emergency services attended the first accident on the A11 at Elveden shortly after 12.10pm. The road was closed for more than two hours. No one was seriously hurt but two people were taken to West Suffolk Hospital.
