FIRE crews tackled a fire in a barn in Lavenham today.
Two fire engines, one from Sudbury and one from Long Melford, were called to the barn in Bury Road this afternoon, just after 2pm.
Firefighters arrived to find three vehicles, believed to be tractors, alight and diesel fuel on the fire.
The roof of a barn building thought to be built of brick, concrete and asbestos type roofing was also slightly involved in fire.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, two high pressure hose reels and foam to get the fire under control.
The fire was contained to the tractors in the barn, and asbestos decontamination was carried out following the roof fire.
Firefighters damped down the tractors and the area.
