A TOWN centre improvement organisation in Bury St Edmunds was shortlisted for a top accolade.
Bid4Bury was named runner- up in the Outstanding work by a BID (Business Improvement District) at the Association of Town Centre Management Awards.
It was recognised for efforts in marketing and promoting the town since spring 2011.
Projects included developing a brand, ourburystedmunds, as well as promotional materials such as a new website, smart phone app, printed guides and maps.
Mark Cordell, chief executive of Bid4Bury, said: “I’m delighted we reached this stage in the awards amongst very strong competition.”
The top prize went to Liverpool’s City Central BID.
