A Bury St Edmunds town centre pub has received a facelift following a six figure sum investment.
The King’s Arms, in Brentgovel Street, has reopened following a ‘mini-makeover’ by owners Greene King which is designed to ‘bring a bit of sparkle back’ to the venue.
The pub and brewery giant has splashed out to install new comfortable seating, redecorate the pub in contemporary colours and styles as well as improve the layout of the bar.
Manager Adam Neads said: “The pub was in need of a bit of a refresh and now the King’s Arms looks great.
“The difference is amazing. We managed to keep disruption to a minimum during the work and are now looking forward to showing our customers the changes.”
Other works include a wooden pergola in the garden area for warmer evenings in the spring and summer with flowers planted to provide floral shade.
On the bar, five cask ales are now available including guest ales as well as Greene King brands.
The pub has also recently welcomed three new faces including two bar staff/waiters Natalie Roberts and Danny Nellist and head chef Donna Lewis.
The work took two weeks to complete.
Greene King operates 2,300 pubs, restaurants and hotels and employs 22,000 people.
