Top marks for landlord

A HOUSING association in Bury St Edmunds has been ranked the best in the country after it was independently assessed over the quality and efficiency of its service.

Suffolk Housing Society achieved top marks after the Housing Quality Network assessed it against five criteria – tenant satisfaction with repairs and maintenance, rent arrears, vacant and available stock, time taken to re-let properties and the proportion of housing stock which meets the decent homes standard.

Ian Winslet, society chief executive, said: “Scoring the maximum possible marks and out-performing our colleagues from around the country is a fantastic achievement.”
