BRAVE firewalkers brought this year’s Tollyfest to a close, after a charitable weekend packed with live bands and entertainment.

The event, held annually at the Tollgate Inn, in Bury St Edmunds, was staged this year in aid of identical twins Megan and Gracie Garwood who, after battling leukaemia for two years, have finally entered the last six months of their treatment.

Next year, parents Emma and Mark hope to take the twins and their daughter Martha to Disneyland, Florida, and the fund set up to make that dream come true has grown considerably after Tollyfest raised nearly £3,000.

Emma, 40, said: “I can’t get over everybody’s generosity – the support we’ve had has been amazing.”

On Monday, despite a weekend of chemotherapy, Gracie and Megan turned up at Tollyfest’s family fun day, something that organiser Shena Walker said spurred on the sponsored firewalkers.
