A VITAL toddler group has been launched in a village after receiving a helping hand from a church.

Tiny Toes Thurston has already registered 75 children since it opened just four weeks ago following funding from Great Barton Free Church.

The church runs its own Tiny Toes and was approached by parents after Thurston’s previous parent and toddler group closed in spring due to lack of funding and support.

Caroline Pointer, chairman of the Tiny Toes Thurston committee, said: “It’s an enormous village and the mums need something local.”

The group runs at Thurst Coffee Bar at the New Green Centre on Thursday from 9.15-11.30am.

It costs £2 per family including refreshments. Call Caroline on (01359) 235196.
