Talented young artists displayed their A and AS level work to parents and friends at Thurston Community College’s annual exhibition on Monday.
Some of the themes explored included the elements, fire, water, earth and air while other work explored growth and evolution.
Students used a variety of techniques and skills to create their portfolios of work which will be used to determine their examination results.
On show were a range of pieces including life drawings, animation, print making, lino cuts and etchings, architecturally inspired clothing and milinary work.
Art teacher Megan Thompson said: “We had very positive feedback and there were some outstanding bodies of work from our hard working students.”
Visitors which included teachers from elsewhere in the county were able to enjoy wine and nibbles as they a browsed the work on display.
