Three insecure properties hit by thieves in Mildenhall

Police have warned residents to ensure their homes are secure after three insecure properties were hit by thefts.

Three insecure homes in Mildenhall have been targeted by thieves in the past week.

A wallet containing £70 in cash was stolen from Sunningdale Anvenue between 8pm on August 29 and 11am on August 30.

The property was entered through an insecure window.

Between 2am and 5am on August 30 thieves entered a property in Charles Melrose Close through an insecure rear patio door.

Once inside the property a black Kazar handbag was stolen.

Yesterday two wallets were taken from a house in Sharpes Court.

The property was entered through an open front window between midnight and 4.10am.

An insecure car in the property’s driveway was also entered and a packet of cigarettes stolen from within.

Police have reminded residents to ensure they secure their doors and windows at night and to always keep vehicles locked, even if parked on the drive.
