Thieves steal school bags

A MOTHER has described thieves who stole her daughter’s schoolbags as ‘disgusting.

Burglars took the bags of Maggie Murphy, 12, and sister Mollie, 10, from their car as it was parked outside their home in St Martins Way, Thetford, on Friday morning.

Their mother, Lisa, said the bags contained a month’s worth of schoolwork and valuables including a £170 iPod Touch - a present for Mollie from her grandmother.

“Mollie couldn’t stop crying and we were so upset. Who would want to take a school bag? It’s disgusting.

Police are now looking to speak to anyone who was in the area between Thursday at 7.30pm and 7.10am the net morning.
