Thieves steal £5,000 worth of computers from school

Thieves have stolen £5,000 worth of computers from a Bury St Edmunds school.

They are believed to have broken into the grounds of King Edward VI School by cropping a chain on a gate, in Beetons Way, before driving a car across the playing fields.

A window was forced open and eight Apple iMac desktop computers with 20in screens were snatched.

Anyone with information about the incident, which was between 2pm on Sunday (March 3) and 8am Monday (March 4), should call PC Barry Simpson at Bury Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
