A group of primary school pupils have been learning about the long and the short of things this half term.
Weeting Primary School’s Year 1 students - the Willow Class - have been learning about their local environment and how to evaluate height this Spring.
The pupils were given a chance to show off what they had learned in a special assembly on Tuesday.
Family and friends were invited to the school to see the work they had done.
Anita Hennington, headteacher, said: “The class have spent time exploring the community and understanding the importance of looking after our environment.
“It’s also allowed them to consider how they can contribute to maintaining and extending local facilities in the future.”
