The Virtues are ready to launch their brand new four-track EP - Moonman.
The band, made up of singing guitarist Kryos, guitarist James Green, bass player Callum Hurst and drummer Owen Williams, are putting on a special night of music at the Hunter Club in Bury on February 6 to mark their new release.
Owen said they managed to record the EP in a weekend at Bury’s Shrubbery Studios.
He said: “That’s the best way to do it when you have the momentum going.
“It was all done with the four of us and one guy on the sound – just the five of us start to finish.
“It is nice to keep it within a small group of people – with not many people involved keeps it organic and simple.
“We are pretty much producing the discs at the moment, getting them all pressed and good to go.”
The Virtues had a busy 2015, including getting a fresh new line-up for the band.
Owen said: “One or two of the songs on the new EP we have played live for a little while but as we have a new band line-up we are really looking to recreate ourselves.
“We had James and Callum join the band around six months ago and it has really changed our sound.
“We are trying to start again with it all.”
As well as the EP launch gig on February 6, the band are playing the Portland Arms, in Cambridge, on January 22 as well as headlining the BurySound final at the Apex on March 4.
