THE Suffolk Show has donated 350 tickets for this year’s event as a token of thanks and support to soldiers and their families from the region’s military bases.
Christopher Bushby, Suffolk Show executive director, and David Nunn, show director, presented 100 tickets for the Wattisham families last week.
Col Neale Moss, of Wattisham Airfield, accepted the tickets on behalf of soldiers from the base who have just returned from Afghanistan.
Mr Bushby and Mr Nunn will also be presenting tickets to representatives from bases at Honington, Colchester and Woodbridge.
Mr Bushby said: “Once again in recognition of the tremendous and difficult work the Army Air Corps is undertaking for us in the front line in Afghanistan and to acknowledge our support to their families and loved ones we are donating these family tickets to the region’s bases.”
The Suffolk Show will take place on June 1 and 2 at Trinity Park, in Ipswich.
