A YOUNG football team has celebrated the end of the season with its first European outing, a mini tour of Holland.
The Moreton Hall Under 12 team played two matches, one in Eindhoven, where they drew 2-2, and one in Landgraff, where they won 3-2.
A total of 19 children went on the trip which spanned April 29 to May 2 and Jamie Daniel, who played with a broken arm, was named Player of the Tour.
Coach Adrian Crowe said: “I hope it will become an annual outing. The boys have fun and reap the benefit of broadening their horizons.”
The team has been invited to return for an annual tournament hosted by one of their Dutch opponents, Sylvia Spec Fc, which Mr Crowe intends to accept.
