KA POW! These super heroes are planning to zap into action for a super-human walk around Nowton Park all in aid of a very good cause.
St Nicholas Hospice Care is staging its Hospice Superheroes five mile walk on Sunday, June 29.
The fund-raiser is inviting men to get dressed up in their favourite heroic garb and walk in memory of loved ones and heroic friends and family.
As well as the walk there will also be a memory board where participants can remember their loved ones and heroes.
The walk will also feature a few surprises and challenges along the way.
Organiser Jenny Baskett, St Nicholas Hospice Care events and challenges fund-raiser, said: “We’ve organised for everyone taking part to be given a pie and pint at the end as an added incentive. On top of that we know it will be a lot of fun.
“We hope the memory board will be popular as we know many people raising funds for the hospice do it in memory of a family member, friend or colleague.”
Those taking part are asked to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship. The minimum age for mini heroes is 10 and walkers aged between 10 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult and have parental consent.
