Members of the public are to be given a unique glimpse into the world of art next month.

Around 100 artists will be opening their doors as part of Suffolk Open Studios.

From watercolour artists, potters and sculptures to jewellery designers, textile artists and photographers, there will be art to suit all tastes.

Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase original works of art and, in some cases, prints, greeting cards or postcards.

They will also be able to watch artists at work and discover their techniques.

It will be a fantastic opportunity to speak to the artists behind the creations, in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of their own studios, workshops or homes. And best of all, entry is free.

Why not select a few artists and create your own ‘studio tour’, remembering the many villages that get involved each year?

Members often exhibit within range of a good pub lunch or tempting tea shop, so you can plan your route to give you a perfect day out.

To find out more about the event, which will run from 11am-5pm on all five weekends in June, look out in shops for the free yellow directory book or visit
