Successful year for restaurant

A YEAR of successes has continued for Tuddenham Mill, whose restaurant has been ranked 41 in a list of the top 50 restaurants outside London.

The Square Meal guide describes Tuddenham Mill’s restaurant in High Street, Tuddenham, as ‘one of the most enchanting places to eat in Suffolk’.

The restaurant’s head chef, Paul Foster, is praised for his ‘real flair’ and his exciting and accomplished menu.

Paul said: “It has been a fantastic 12 months for us at Tuddenham Mill, and being 41st in the Square Meal top 50 outside of London shows we are consistent.

“Last year I was amazed to find out we were placed 44th and I am over the moon we went up three places.”

Paul’s achievements at the restaurant were also recognised in his selection for the BBC’s Great British Menu, where he narrowly lost out on a place in the final to Cambridge-based chef Daniel Clifford.

The list compiled by Square Meal was topped by Purnell’s restaurant, in Birmingham, and featured Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck, in Berkshire, and Daniel Clifford’s Midsummer House, in Cambridge.
