AMATEUR photographer Jonathan Baet has won a national competition with this shot taken at sunset in Burnham Overy Staithe.
Jonathan, 46, of Red Lodge, raced through heavy traffic in King’s Lynn arriving just in time to catch the final minutes of this spectacular sunset.
He said: “I missed the sunset but looked around and there were a few photographers out there taking pictures with the tripod so I took a few shots.
“It was great lighting and turned out to be a nice reflection.”
Jonathan, a nurse who has been taking photographs in his spare time since he was at high school, was the March winner of a year-long competition run by outdoors brand Hi-Tec.
He said: “I was surprised, really excited and elated about the whole thing.”
The winners from each month have received a top of the range pair of boots and will compete against each other to win a family walking holiday.
Jonathan said that taking a competition-winning photograph had required a lot of waiting around for the correct lighting – something he will be doing even more following his success.
