A SIXTH form student at Stowmarket High School has put on his own stage production based on the hit TV show Glee – in memory of his drama teacher.
Dan Earnshaw, 17, of Great Bricett, began working on the project more than a year ago taking on roles in script writing, casting, directing – and even acted in it as well.
Dan, who created the show outside of school hours, said he was inspired by the memory of drama teacher Ruth Barber, who died in March last year.
The play was performed on Friday and Saturday.
Dan said: “We decided to make the show about Glee because it was the favourite of Miss Barber – she was more like a maternal figure or friend than a teacher.
“Her daughter came along for the Saturday matinee which was lovely.
“It has been a lot of hard work so I am looking forward now to having a break and catching up on sleep.”
