Colourful floats and talented displays greeted families who turned out for this year’s record-breaking Stowmarket Carnival.
Organisers estimate the event attracted up to 10,000 visitors over the three days, with band Dumbfoundus proving a big hit on Friday.
The carnival procession and Lowestoft dog display were popular events on Saturday, as were Sunday’s pet and dog and classic car shows.
Carnival committee chairman Zoe Lynch said: “It was lovely and sunny and we had record number of crowds so we’re really really pleased.
“The procession was another success. It’s been the most well-attended and supported procession for years, if not ever.”
She said the committee were ‘raring to go’ with planning next year’s event but would be taking a month off first.
“We have an enthusiastic committee that are overwhelmed by the support they’ve been shown and really pleased for the town of Stowmarket.
“It’s just about building on the success.
“We’ve already had lots of enquiries and new support coming forward from local businesses, which is brilliant.”
