Hundreds visited the Museum of East Anglian Life at the weekend for its seventh annual Steam and Crafts weekend.
Around 1,200 people experienced the sights, sounds and smells of the ten steam machines on display.
Visitor services manager Patsy Cane said the event was a tremendous success.
She said: “We had our smithy and our watermill working and plenty of demonstrations.
“It was really nice bringing all the museum collections to life - it seemed as if all of yesteryear were back today.
“The whole place was alive.”
The museum and town centre partnership combined the event with a car show throughout the town centre.
