A brightly coloured stationery shop for kids has opened at the Arc shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds.

The red ribbon to the new Smiggle store was cut on Wednesday by competition winner, nine-year-old Amber Holloway from Chedburgh.

Store manager Natalie Cleary said the store was very interactive, with children invited to pick up and touch the products.

“The opening has been absolutely fantastic so far.

“We had a soft opening on Tuesday and it went down brilliantly.

“There was lots of excitement and a massive interest in the shop.

“We are aimed at the child market really.
“Everything is open so people can come in and touch and feel and smell the products we sell.

“It is just a lovely, colourful environment for people to come and shop in.”
