AN annual talent show that has raised thousands for charities will this year support a charity that funds holidays for wounded service people.

Gemma Bell has organised a talent show at Great Barton Village Hall for 28 years, supporting a different charity each year. Last year’s raised £2,226 for Help for Heroes. This year’s will support Help for Afghan Heroes which funds wheelchair-friendly holiday homes where wounded service people and their families can take a break.

“It’s my way of helping out the forces,” said Gemma, whose late husband Gordon was in the RAF for 27 years.

Singers in the show at 7pm on May 7 will perform everything from West Life to opera. Tickets are available from Gemma on 01359 233448 or Paul Turner on 01284 787654.
