Fashion Fusion, a fashion extravaganza held last month in Bury St Edmunds, has helped to raise more than £4,000 for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

The show, staged at The Apex, was a sell out success, and featured designs from the town’s retailers. More than 30 of them sent in three of their latest designs.

The audience was welcomed with drinks and canapés on arrival.

On Monday, a cheque for £4,334 raised through ticket sales and a raffle was handed over to the hospice.

Abby Mayes, corporate fund-raiser, said the event had helped raise much-needed funds.

Julie Warren, development manager at The Apex, said: “We are looking to make Fashion Fusion a regular event. We are absolutely delighted with how much money this event has raised and that it’s going to such a good cause”.
