Seventeen schools are stitching together their close bonds through a ‘texture journey’ art and design project.

Pupils in the Bury Schools Partnership will create a design and map which will be combined to showcase the symbolic connection between their respective primary and middle schools as well as King Edward VI School.

The work will be exhibited at St Edmundsbury Cathedral next June. Chris Lawson, head at Great Whelnetham Primary, has brought together art co-ordinators from across the schools for weekly training and development to complete the project.
