The Greene King IPA Championship kicks-off its sixth season as the second tier of professional rugby tomorrow and to mark the occasion, plus the brewer’s second year of title sponsorship, all twelve captains visited its Bury St Edmunds brewery on Wednesday.
Dom South, marketing director of Greene King Brewing & Brands, said: “We have been a passionate supporter and promoter of great British rugby at all levels for many years. Indeed the Greene King IPA 7s, held by our own Bury St Edmunds RFU Club each May, is now one of the best Sevens tournaments on the circuit.
“Following our first successful year as sponsors of The Greene King IPA Championship we are now looking to build on that success by driving more awareness and footfall to the games.
“While the players will be creating great moments on the pitch, we will be looking to match that excitement with competitions and beer festivals that both showcase new, innovative craft ales and our original Greene King IPA.”
