The Royal British Legion is trying to recruit more volunteers to its army of Poppy Appeal collectors in Bury st Edmunds.
Nationally, the legion needs 350,000 poppy volunteers to help raise funds to support current and former armed forces personnel and their families.
The legion’s Bury branch is looking for people of all ages and backgrounds to help run the appeal.
Charles Byrne, the legion’s director of fund-raising, said: “The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s main fundraising event and it is the UK’s biggest charity campaign.
“The appeal simply wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous support we receive each year from our valued volunteers.”
You do not have to be ex-services or a legion member to be a volunteer.
