A SHOP assistant has shattered his charity challenge target after cycling 208 miles on an exercise bike.
Robert Warwick, 37, originally planned to notch up 100 miles over three days on the fitness machine in Blockbuster, Bury St Edmunds.
However, after already completing 81 miles on the first day, he decided to push himself further to raise between £250 to £300 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which grants wishes for seriously ill youngsters.
He opted for 208 miles as it is the distance from his home in Bury to his sister’s in Penyffordd, Wales.
Mr Warwick said: “I feel really tired but pleased as it’s for a good cause. The last 10 miles were agony.
“I’m ecstatic with the amount raised. I want to thank all of the customers and colleagues for the support and money they’ve put in as well as my fiancée Louise Taylor, who pushed me this past week.”
