Road closure after accident

Three fire crews used hydraulic equipment to cut a 65-year-old man out of a car after he was thrown from the front seat into the back seat when the car rolled. The casualty has now been taken to West Suffolk Hospital with head injuries.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said that the driver of a silver Kia Carens is believed to have lost control while driving on the A1120 near to the junction with the A140. He said that a section of the A1120 and the A140 had been closed while the vehicle is recovered and the road is cleared.

He also said that the road surface had been damaged and would need to be repaired.
