THE stage is set for an evening of death defying stunts from a host of top freestyle motocross riders next month.

They will go head to head in a test of nerve to see who will perform the most elaborate tricks to win over the crowd and professional judges during the FMX Championship event at Rougham Airfield on Saturday June 4.

Action sports company Bolddog, which is running the evening, has also promised street bike freestyle, a mini-bike festival competition and mini bike race.

Other entertainment includes rock band ‘L.A.F.’, professional dancers and fire breathers.

Among the professional freestyle motocross riders is the country’s number one FMX rider Chris Birch, of Haverhill, who was the only UK rider to be invited to compete in the Redbull X-Fighters International Championship at Battersea last year.

Local pro riders that are expected to make an impression in the results include Dan Whitby, of Fakenham, Samson Eaton, of Harleston and Arran Powley, of Dereham.

There will even be onboard commentary provided by one of the riders as they fly through the air.

Doors open at 5.30pm with the competition and entertainment starting at 7pm.
