ANYONE interested in taking part in the 2012 Relay For Life in aid of Cancer Research UK is invited to its launch on Tuesday, January 24.
The Hunter Club, in Guildhall Street, Bury St Edmunds, will host the launch event from 7.30pm when some of the 500 people who took part last year will speak about why the relay is fun and how to get involved.
A cancer survivor will also talk about what advances in research meant for them.
The 24-hour Bury St Edmunds Relay for Life will be held at Ickworth Park on June 23 and 24 and is a team walking event open to men, women and children.
For more energetic fund raisers, its sister event, Race for Life, is open to women runners with two races at Nowton Park on June 24.
