In just three years time 90 per cent of us will be applying for new jobs using mobile phones a Bury St Edmunds recruitment firm has said.

Now Cooper Lomaz Recruitment has launched what it describes as a ‘ground breaking app’ to allow instant access to job applications.

It believes it is the first recruitment consultancy in the East of England to have its own job search app available on both Apple and Android.

“Cooper Lomaz app users will never run the risk of missing out on the job opportunity of a lifetime,” said operations director Mark Fletcher.

“Up to now, people who are already in work have had to wait until they go home in the evening and log onto their PC or laptop.

“Now they can find out about a job at any time convenient to them and apply immediately.

“It is a fantastic way for the thousands of candidates on the Cooper Lomaz database to keep in direct contact with our consultants.”

“I believe that in three or four years’ time 90% of people applying for jobs will be doing so through mobile phones.

“And it won’t be long before people can carry their personal profile on their phone for immediate upload.

“I think the days of the traditional CV are numbered.”

App users can also choose to be alerted instantly to all new vacancies in their specialist field – and keep abreast of all the jobs market news.

And according to Cooper Lomaz’s Mark Fletcher employers will benefit from their vacancies being put before the most technologically astute, IT literate generation of job applicants.
