Rector Christopher Robinson has been pounding the pavements as part of a drive to encourage more people to church.

The Rev ‘Tiffer’ Robinson, who looks after parish churches in Rattlesden, Hitcham, Brettenham and Thorpe Morieux, is part of the Back to Church Sunday campaign running this month.

The campaign aims to encourage people to return to church to see what Christianity has to offer.

There are 350 homes in Rattlesden and Mr Robinson spent 65 hours knocking on doors and 290 people answered. The Back to church service is on Sunday at St Nicholas church in the village.

He said: “It’s about inviting people to join a community within a community. Anyone is welcome.”
