PUPILS at Breckland Middle School have raised just over £2,000 for charity this year including a donation to SARAID - the search and rescue charity.

The Brandon school staged three fund-raisers - a school quiz which featured pupils guessing which secret belonged to which teacher, a sponsored fancy dress, which included staff dressed in whacky outfits teaching for the day, and a raffle.

This featured prizes donated by staff who gave up their time to offer baking for a class, a supervised swim in the school pool and one lucky student was headteacher for the day.

The pupils raised £783.75 for SARAID which was presented to Gary Francis who came into school earlier to talk about the charity’s work.

The total raised was £2,060.37.
