With pupils acting as managers, floor workers and cashiers, Howard Primary, in Bury St Edmunds, has launched its own school bank.

The move allows youngsters aged seven and over to deposit money into individual accounts at lunchtime which will be taken to HSBC in Abbeygate Street.

HSBC branch manager Steve Jacob helped pupils establish the bank.
