Pre-school cash boost

BREAKFAST and after school clubs are to be launched by a Barrow pre-school after it received a £4,325 grant from Havebury Housing Partnership.

The money will help to pay for a kitchen area in a new building for the the Plum Tree pre-school which looks after 18 youngsters aged between two-and-a-half to five years old.

The pre-school is moving after Easter to a new purpose built site at Barrow Primary School where it will be able to cater for more children.

“We are immensely grateful as it will mean we can fully utilise our new premises and offer much needed breakfast and after-school clubs which will be of huge benefit to both parents and children in the village,” said pre-school chairman Louise Cooper.
