Police seek public’s ideas on policing priorities around Bury

Have your say

POLICE Safer Neighbourhood Teams in and around Bury St Edmunds are holding two meetings next week to seek residents’ views on policing priorities.

The first is on Wednesday June 13 at Ixworth village hall, from 7pm, when officers from Bury Rural North and Rural South Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) will be on hand to discuss community policing.

The Rural North SNT covers the villages mainly to the north of Bury St Edmunds, and includes the larger settlements of Ixworth, Stanton, Great Barton and the Fornhams as well as RAF Honington and its sister camp at Barnham.

The Rural South SNT covers the area between Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill, and runs along the Essex and Cambridgeshire borders.

The second meeting is with Bury Central and Bury East/West SNT at ASDA in Western Way, Bury, from 7pm on Thursday June 14.

Anyone unable to attend the meeting can contact their local SNT on 101.
