Police have said that no further action will be taken against the mayor of St Edmundsbury after he accidentally crashed his car into a Tesco store in Bury St Edmunds.
Cllr Terry Buckle who represents Moreton Hall on St Edmundsbury Borough Council made national headlines after he drove his car through the open doors at the Tesco Express store in Lawson Place at about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Luckily no one was hurt.
Now police have said that no action will be taken against the 73-year-old blue badge holder, who was only robed-in as mayor on Thursday last week.
