Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a robbery at a Thetford bookmakers.

The incident took place at Coral in Well Street just after 9pm on Sunday, February 15, when two men entered the shop and assaulted a member of staff, punching and kicking him to the ground.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the till, along with the victim’s mobile phone. The offenders ran off in the direction of the town centre, with one heading down Tanner Street and the other down School Lane.

The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered cuts and bruises to his hands and face.

The first suspect is described as of Asian appearance, around 5ft 8in, of medium build, with short hair and wearing a blue jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The second suspect is described as of Asian appearance, around 5ft 8/9in, of a tubby build, with stubble facial hair and wearing a blue gilet, grey top, grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of robbbery in connection with the incident and was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, but faces no further action.
