Police are appealing for information after more than £1,000 of fuel was stolen from four Suffolk petrol stations.

The first happened on Felixtowe Road, Ipswich, between 4pm and 4.30pm on August 24 where two men in a white transit van made off without paying.

The first man is described as white, of slim build, with short black hair wearing a red top. The second was wearing a grey shirt. The next incident happened on Goddard Road, Ipswich at 1.45pm on August 25, the third happened in Sproughton Road, Ipswich, at 1.50pm.

The fourth incident happened at a petrol station on the A140 near Coddenham at 1.30pm on August 25.

Police believe the incidents are linked and related to the theft of number plates in Hawks Mill Street, Needham Market, on August 25.
