Police are appealing for information following a series of burglaries in Stowmarket.

Two incidents took place in Temple Road between 11pm on Sunday February 16 and 8am on Monday February 17 where intruders broke into a shed and stole a screwdriver and chisel.

Another house and outbuilding were also entered with cash, food and alcohol stolen from inside.

Eight further incidents happened between midnight and 7am on Tuesday February 18.

Five properties on Beech terrace were targeted as well as three on Bury Road.

A further burglary took place on Bond Street at 3.45am yesterday (February 18) where offenders entered a house and stole keys and cash.

Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Millar of Criminal Investigation Department warned residents to be vigilant.

She said: “Burglars often look for ‘quick win’ opportunities, targeting houses where windows are left open and doors unlocked.

“We would encourage everyone to remember to close all doors and windows when leaving their property and also to ensure that they are locked – never leave an open invitation; close it, lock it, check it.”

If you have information in relation to these burglaries call police on 101 or crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.
