Police appeal after break-ins at five Thetford businesses

Police in Thetford are appealing for information after five businesses in the town were broken into over the weekend.

The break-ins all occurred some time between Saturday night and yesterday morning.

The offenders forced entry to the backyard of a premises in Roman Way and from there proceeded to break into four other units in Lodge Way.

Two of the premises have reported items being stolen, including an estimated £1,500 worth of scrap metal and £4,000 in cash.

All received damage to either doors, windows or locks and in three cases fire extinguishers were let off inside.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area over the weekend, or who has any information about the incidents.
