Police appeal after 83-year-old man is bitten by dog in Needham Market

Police are appealing for information after an elderly man was bitten on the leg by a dog in Needham Market.

The incident happened along a footpath in Primrose Way at approximately 9.30pm on Friday August 1.

An 83-year-old man was walking a dog when he saw a woman approaching him with a white coloured Scottish Terrier style dog.

As the woman passed him, her dog bit the man on the leg causing minor injuries.

The woman continued walking towards Lilac Close.

The owner of the terrier dog is described as a white woman, over 60-years-old, between 5’2” and 5’4” tall and of a medium build.
