Great weather conditions made Sunday a perfect ploughing day for members of the East Anglian Ferguson Club.

Their annual ploughing contest at Fornham All Saints raised £380 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance as each plot of 75 by 15 yards was inspected and points scored.

Some 50 tractors took part at Hall Farm by kind permission of Andrew Long.

The day was sponsored by Silver Fox Tractor Spares Ltd with each participant being given a silver plaque and the winners receiving a shield to mark their success. This was the event’s 12th year.

Most of the tractors that turned out were vintage vehicles although some post 1970 Classics also took part.
